I’m interested in how design can transform the spaces we move through every day. Through large-scale installations, environmental graphics, and physical storytelling, I explore how visual systems can shape experiences, create connection, and turn ordinary environments into memorable spaces.

Illinois illustrations

This installation was created for the Graduate College at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Measuring 32 ft by 15 ft and positioned in a high-traffic area, it was designed to make a bold visual impact and showcase the university’s refreshed brand identity. I independently illustrated more than 35 campus buildings, developed multiple layout options, worked with the client for feedback and approval, and managed vendor coordination for production and installation.

The size of the diamonds were decreased since this rendering to allow for more visibility from the inside of the building to the street. Below are a a few of my illustrations featured in this design.

The Sight of Music

This wall installation was completed as an exploration into how sound effects the listener, or in this case, the viewer. I screen printed each vinyl, used heat to warp them, and attached them to the wall in this composition.

Illinois Illustrations

This environmental installation for the Graduate College at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign brought the university’s refreshed brand identity into a high-traffic physical space. Measuring 32 ft by 15 ft, the installation was designed to create a bold visual presence while celebrating the architecture and character of campus.

I independently illustrated more than 35 campus buildings, developed multiple layout concepts, collaborated with stakeholders through feedback and approval, and coordinated with vendors through production and installation. The final composition balanced brand expression, visibility, and the relationship between the interior space and surrounding environment.

Wavelength

This installation explored the relationship between sound, movement, and visual perception. Using vinyl records as the primary material, I screen printed each piece, manipulated the physical form through heat, and composed the installation to create a dynamic visual representation of sound waves and energy.

The Prairie

This collaborative paste-up mural celebrated the biodiversity of the Tallgrass Prairie through a collection of illustrated native species. Working alongside 12 other designers, I created a linoleum print representing a prairie species, produced multiple prints through a press, and contributed to the final installation at a local elementary school.

The Swing

This personal painting project explored translating historical artwork through a contemporary, hands-on process. I recreated Jean-Honoré Fragonard’s The Swing using primarily latex house paint, experimenting with scale, texture, and material limitations during quarantine.
